Lesson 1-5: Measuring Segments
Step 1: Copy the standard for today's lesson and the essential question into the notes. G.CO.1 Know precise definitions of angle, circle, perpendicular line, parallel line, and line segment, based on the undefined notions of point, line, distance along a line, and distance around a circular arc. Essential Question: How do you find the distance between two points on a number line? What is the Segment Addition Postulate (SAP) and how is it related to the midpoint of a segment? Step 2: Watch the videos on SAP and Midpoint and take notes. Make sure you have defined the following academic vocabulary terms:
coordinate, congruent segments, and midpoint. Step 3: Take the following notes on the given examples.
